Short News: Race2Recovery - The team of injured soldiers are going to the Dakar Rally! [Video]

Race2Recovery is a team made up predominantly of wounded soldiers, and wants to be the first to complete the Dakar Rally in South America, which will start on January 5, 2013.

Their objective is to inspire those who are injured, disabled or facing adversity, and also to raise money for a charitable cause, the Tedworth House recovery centre in Wiltshire.

You probably remember them from the Top Gear (Series 17) episode on which Richard Hammond joined them telling us some of their stories and their dream, to take part in the Dakar Rally. Even Ben Collins, the ex-Stig, helped them.

They will race in a Qt Wildcat 500DKR with an 4.0litre Land Rover V8 petrol engine producing 275hp with the FIA restrictor and 406Nm (300ft/lbs) at 3850rpm.

I wish them good luck!

Short News: More images of the Peugeot 3008 facelift in China

Almost every week new images of the facelifted Peugeot 3008 appear, but this time it seems they are official and the car was now presented to the public for the Chinese market.

The car has some profile changes with alterations in the A and C pillar, including the shape of the glasses, making look a little more like a SUV, and less like a van. In front, we now have the traditional grille from the Peugeot group that is used by almost all models.

Oddly one of the things that usually is changed, the headlights and taillights, stayed equal in the new 3008. We don't know if this facelift will ever get to Europe but the car is already in need of a few adjustments on his image to make it look more recent.

Short News: Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo - The design process [Video]

In this video we can follow designers Michael Mauer and Mitja Borkert at the Porsche Research and Development center in Weissach, Germany, explaining the development process of the Panamera Sport Turismo.

Like most vehicles, this also started as a clay model and we get to see the car from that stage to its presentation at the Paris Motor Show, along with explanations of the various stylistic choices used in this vehicle. I really hope Porsche decides to build this or at least use it as the concept for the Panamera's next generation.

Fiat Panda and Panda 4x4 coming to China!

The Pandas are coming and i don't mean the bear but the small car from the Italian company. Fiat intends to patent the Panda 4x4 and Panda in the Chinese market so production can be begin by the new Guangzhou-Fiat joint venture.

The Guangzhou-Fiat partnership produces the Viaggio sedan and soon will produce the hatchback version. Production of both Pandas will start, in the best of chances, in 2014, and may facilitate production of the 500 in China, since the platform use by the Panda is the same.

Short News: Mercedes CLA displayed as a miniature

We already know the engines and appearance of the new 4-door coupe from Mercedes, but now some images have emerged of a miniature CLA without the AMG kitgiving us a good idea of the look of the car.

The model looks really well made, i might say it has a better quality than some other cars in the road. The level of detail is very good.

Ferrari 612 GTO Concept made by Sasha Selipanov

There are hundreds of independent designers that create their visions of what a sports car should look like, but most of them are pretty bad. Today i found this one, created by Sasha Selipanov and rendered by Samir Sadikhov, it represents a possible future generation of the 612 Scaglietti.

And yes, i know this study has over 2 years, but a good work deserves recognition and i am sure many won't have seen it or just don't remember having seen it. So tell us what do you think, because i think it looks amazing.
